A Not So Subtle Attack on the Tea Party

Days before National Tax Day, it was already well known that once again, Tea Parties across America would be protesting the government’s unfairly high taxes. However, this Tax Day, liberals planned to launch their own counter-protests to those of the Tea Partiers. Some websites, like Crash the Tea Party even proposed infiltrating the Tea Party itself, and making its participants look like angry, out-of-touch, racists-- as many liberals like to caricaturize them. Knowing of these plots, it’s surprising that the first reported case of liberal interference is so… blunt.

According to the Salina Journal, Ken Cannon, “who is running an independent campaign for governor,“ walked right into a Tea Party rally at the local Salina library and began pushing a man, shouting expletives at him and threatening to “blow…[the other man] up.” Cannon was arrested later that afternoon.

I feel sorry for the writer of Crash the Tea Party.com—he crafted a truly cunning plan, and the media would have readily played along if they had pulled it off. But he obviously left one thing out of his calculations—liberals are incapable of subtlety. After all, they were the ones to first define the term “angry, out-of-touch, racists.”
